"In early 2020, I retired from a company where I worked for forty years. I envisioned the many things I could get accomplished since I now had “free time”. Well, as we all know, COVID changed everything.  At an event in March, 2020, I met the Superintendent of Twinsburg Schools and during our conversation, she mentioned that substitute teachers are needed at most of the local school districts.  I thanked her for the conversation and said I would consider substitute teaching as one of my options. After a few months, I decided to review the jobs on the school district’s website and clicked on the link for information about becoming a substitute teacher.  I knew I did not want to work another full time job and wanted flexibility so I completed the substitute teacher’s application through Renhill. Shortly after submitting my information a representative from Renhill contacted me, we discussed my qualifications, education and why I was interested in working at the schools.  After the application and background check were complete, Renhill assisted me in the process of making sure all of the training classes and documents were completed for me to obtain my substitute teaching license from the State of Ohio.   Once the Department of Education certificates were completed and I received my license, I was ready to select assignments through Renhill’s on-line substitute teacher’s assignment website. I like the flexibility of working with Renhill, when you want an assignment, you can select it online, if you are not available for an assignment on a particular day, you can add non-work days.  The jobs selections can be either be full or half days, depending on what the teachers needs are and this was appealing to me. I enjoy working through Renhill and would highly recommend them for anyone interested in becoming a substitute teacher" - Joyce Laley
