"After leaving the classroom as a full-time teacher, I started substitute teaching. Johnstown-Monroe is a nearby district, and Renhill manages the substitute teachers there. Usually I hear from Brenda about substitute teaching openings, but I have talked to a couple other staff members over the past year and a half. After adding my name to the Johnstown-Monroe substitute list, I was offered and accepted an afternoon tutoring position, making my availability less than I had anticipated when I applied with Renhill.
