I received my Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood from the University of Georgia and went on to begin a master’s degree in Learning Disabilities. After 6 months I put this on hold for several reasons and eventually got a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary Upon retiring, I became a substitute with certification in early childhood. Several of the school systems used Renhill for their sub placement.
When I moved to Northeast Ohio to be nearer to family, I was hired by the North Royalton Schools as a substitute, which also used Renhill as its placement service. All in all, I have substituted for 5-6 years. I like the freedom of being able to indicate non workdays on the web site as well as sign up for jobs in advance, which means I rarely get calls at 5:30 in the morning. This is very helpful as I also work part time as a caretaker for my 3 grandchildren. The yearly online training has been a good refresher as my education courses were many years ago.
