Greetings!

Renhill invites you to apply for the plus 50 job training courses. In collaboration with Experience Works and Owens Community College, the following NO COST training courses and accompanying employment opportunities are available to those 50 or older, living in Lucas or Wood County, and are either unemployed or underemployed. Successful completion of any of these classes will guarantee you an interview with Renhill for available Special Education Aide, Substitute Teacher, or Office Service positions. All classes are eight hours and include all tests and fees.

Substitute Teacher: Learn role, responsibilities, and necessary skills of a Substitute Teacher, including legal liabilities, effective classroom management, and discipline strategies. (Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and can be in any field of study.) Pay Range = $70-$100 per day

Special Education Aide: Learn role, responsibilities, and necessary skills of a Special Educational Aide including understanding the relationship between the Teacher and Special Educational Aide, legal liabilities, understanding developmental challenges, effective classroom/behavior management, and discipline strategies. (Must have a High School Diploma or GED.) Pay Range = $8.10 – $9.17 per hour

Office Services: Learn computer applications, how to work in an office environment, and necessary skills of an office professional. Computer skills pretest required before taking the class. Additional computer skills training will be available at no charge. Pay Range = $9.00 - $14.00 per hour
